本セミナーでは、受講生に実際に短いプレゼンテーションを英語で行っていただきます。受講生の実演を教材にプレゼン技術や質疑応答の対応の仕方を学びます。以下、担当講師よりの【授業スタイル】の説明をご一読ください。This will be a practical workshop seminar with lots of concrete examples and opportunities for presentation practice and discussion. Participants will give one short presentation on a general research topic of their own choice. This will be followed by a question and answer session, as well as feedback from the lecturer on how to improve the presentations and the Q and A session. (from Prof. Langham) ※受講生には、5～7分程度のプレゼンテーション資料を事前に作成、提出していただきます。テーマは他の受講生にも分かるようにご自身の研究の概略もしくは一般的なものが望ましいです。 |

本セミナーでは、受講生に国際学会でのスタンダードなプレゼンテーションスタイルを身につけてもらいます。導入や締め、図表の導入、質疑応答などの区分で適切な表現を学びます。セミナーは、少人数グループでの実践や議論をもとに進めます。以下、担当講師よりの【レッスン内容】の説明をご一読ください。 The focus in the workshop seminars will be on the introduction of useful vocabulary, sentences and techniques for presentations. Participants will be encouraged to move away from a reliance on overly-formal English towards a more natural informal presentation style that is the standard at international conferences. We will look carefully at the various parts of a presentation and focus on subsections such as, starting your presentation, moving on to the main body, introducing graphics, finishing your presentation and so on. Models for each of these subsections will be provided and there will be chances to practice in small groups and discuss how these models can be adapted to your situation. This seminar is suitable for people with little or no experience, as well as for those who have given presentations before and wish to improve. |
